Paris is a city that holds a very special meaning to me. This city is where my wanderlust came into fruition and the reason why I’m on this journey to explore the world. After under certain personal circumstances, my trip was abruptly placed on hold from April – July. But just as everything in this world has its reasons to why things happen, I learned from that experience and realized certain importances and values in life that I took for granted; and one of the things I took for granted were my parents. Without them, I wouldn’t even have this chance to do what I’m doing. They gave their lives to me and my siblings and there are no words or gratitude that I can say or give to show how thankful I am for what they have done for us.
And it’s for this realization, I have decided to explore the Middle East with them and I’m hoping for the next month, we can forge ever lasting memories since we won’t know when we will be given a chance to do something like this again. I just hope that we will come out of this trip alive and not on the brink of killing each other.
Lastly, I decided to start this trip with Paris as a personal homage to the city that helped me become who I am today and for that, I am so happy to be back here.
